That's not true about the Japanese wounded. That's not at all why they were killed. Those soldiers would rather have died than be captured for ANY reason. They weren't FORCED. Their commanders weren't being tyrants. It was a custom dating back many centuries and was ingrained in their culture. If any Japanese were to be captured by an enemy, they would have SO dishonored themselves that death was preferable.
